Oh, growin’ up.
1990s
Kelly and Nick grow up in Marlton, New Jersey.
Early 2000s
The Follet and Lineman families spend their springs at Memorial Field, their summers at Chartwell Swim Club, and their falls at Savich Field—never fully crossing paths.
2008
Kelly’s brother, Kevin, coaches Nick in football for the Marlton Chiefs.
2013
Both Nick and Kelly’s parents meet through mutual friends and start spending time together. This leads to Nick’s brother, Rob, moving in with Kelly’s aunt and uncle down in Texas.
JANUARY 2020“She got pictures on the wall, they make me look up”
Nick and Kelly’s relationship began with a bond over classic rock after Nick saw this picture of the vinyl records hung above her bed to the tune of Led Zeppelin’s Over the Hills and Far Away.

Leap Day 2020
Nick and Kelly meet at Fado in Center City Philadelphia.

They go on their first date to The Goat and Condesa, then end the night by irish-goodbyeing each other at McGillin’s.

The world shuts down for a global pandemic.
SUMMER 2020“My momma always told me, there’d be days like this”
Nick and Kelly spent their first summer together with friends down in Sea Isle, spending long days on the beach and attending as many “no shower happy hours” at the Ocean Drive as possible.

October 2021
Nick and Kelly move into their apartment in Philadelphia.
Present
They spend their Thursday nights playing Quizzo at their local bar, their Friday nights at their favorite restaurants (usually Fiorella), and their Saturdays with friends in the city.
MAY 7, 2022“If the sun refused to shine, I would still be lovin’ you.”
On a rainy day in Philly, Nick tricked Kelly into thinking she was going to the Four Seasons for drinks with her family. Instead, he proposed and she said “yes”! They spent the night celebrating with their immediate families.
